Where flowers bloom, so does hope. Lady Bird Johnson
Hope is powerful.
During my life, it has been most powerful in its moments of absence.
Nature, though, restores my hope. For me, the beauty and spirit of animal and botanical life exemplifies hope that endures and returns. Photographing this life creates reminders of that hope. I’m unceasingly grateful for nature’s presence on this earth.

True beauties of the floral cosmos, Ranunculus have symbolized love and friendship, heartbreak and happiness for centuries. Flowers of fables and legends, Ranunculus are also one of nature’s solar energy experts. Ranunculus can form their petals into a cup shape to collect solar energy that not only warms the blossoms but also provides a cozy haven for insects. The solar energy is stored in the heart of the flower and gives a power boost to the entire system. It ripens the stamens and increases pollen intake. Then, once the flower is pollinated, the solar heat helps develop the seeds.
