New Work: Flowers and Hope 1

April 24, 2025

Where flowers bloom, so does hope. Lady Bird Johnson

During a recent March night, Kansas City’s gray-brown winter was flipped by glorious spring. Forsythia’s first yellow flowers greeted the morning. Tufts of green grass, awake from dormant soil, sprang into the picture. Bare tree branches held full-of-promise buds ready to burst.

Spring in Kansas City is always a reminder of nature’s endurance and infinite potential for rebirth. This year, after the exceptionally frigid winter, it truly dazzles. The quiet beauty is hope and love in action.
