That was a very loving thing to do. You put a smile on her face and touched her heart. You have a heart of gold and you always know how to put a smile on every ones face and manage to touch their heart while doing it. You are a God sent Angel, you will be rewarded for your kindness and loving gesture's. You touched God's heart by being his faithful servant. Love J

What a wonderful story! And, you remember it so vividly. Surely your niece's memory is forever stamped with your caring dedication and commitment to find just the right pet for her. Our Heartland Coaches Association chapter granted complimentary coaching services for the managers at Wayside Waifs a few years ago. I came away so impressed with their commitment to finding proper homes for neglected, abandoned and unwanted pets. What a wonderful, well-run facility it is.

I hope that you had a joyous Christmas, and wish you a very happy New Year!

What a beautiful sentiment, Anne Marie! You so vividly capture what is surely majestic beauty out there - I can easily picture those places that you describe.

I commend and respect you for your willingness to openly share your feelings towards someone whom you love and care about.

Blessings,
Dean : )

Anne Marie, I am sure you and Mickey and the ocean will share an enduring relationship. There will be reunions many times in many seasons, and I am happy for you. --Mark.

Wow! I knew you were contemplating some thing, this is huge. I hope and pray everything goes as planned. You are in my prayers continually. Give Hollywood a hug for me, I'm so happy he's doing better. Onward through the fog! Love you!

Anne Marie, your heart is big enough that you can afford to leave a little piece of it here in Kansas City and not to take all of it to Oregon, and that is what I want.

I was talking to a friend yesterday about your move. He is sort of a pseudo-intellectual, maybe a little like me, and he gets off the main topic and onto tangential ones pretty readily. So he was playing with words and asked if in your new location you would be called an "Oregonese" person, the same as with the derivation of "Lebanese," or perhaps an "Oregoner," like the term "New Yorker." Apparently he forgot the correct term, "Oregonian." However, for the next 10 days, until you leave, I think we can call you an "Oregoner," a new term we have coined, that relates to the term "goner," which is used when someone is going to be out of here (as in "she's a goner"). So, the meaning of "Oregoner" is "one who imminently is leaving for Oregon." I do not expect this new word to come into wide use. However . . .

Isn't is good that you have the courage to do something dramatic, so much so that you are the object of conversation like this? As far as I am concerned, you always will be worth talking about, and I never will forget you. (Particularly if I ever get a self-portrait or other good picture of you. Ha!)

Wonderful story, Anne Marie! Our childhood memories illustrate who we are. Yours says how much you appreciate the wonders of animals and nature that we so often don't take notice of.
